i know if u start the pill on the day of ur first period then ur covered immediately, but i started it on the 3rd day of my period.....do u think this makes a difference?

If you're still worried about this there are two ways to be sure about the whys and whens of the effectivness of your particular pill. First off, if you read the instuctions in your pill packet it will outline how best to take it and when it's effective. Or you can talk to whoever provided your pill.
If niether of these options are giving you the answers you need you can talk to a nurse on the fpa helpline on 0845 310 1334.
Hope this helps,
CB
Have you read the leaflet carefully? I remember the Microgynon leaflet being very thorough about these things.
Well, I think that if you don't start on the first day of your period then you have to wait 7 days until you're covered, BUT don't quote me on that if you get pregnant! The number ClaireBear gave you should be able to help.
If you go to the doctor to ask about it and they decide you're not protected properly, then they can prescribe the MAP for you.
oooh whoops my bad, completely miss looked at what pills i'd taken, so i'm now starting the 3rd week of pills....so really been on it bout 2 weeks. Do u reckon that makes a difference?
