Open Software is the future...
A very good open version of MSN is called aMSN, it has alot of features and is very nice to use. Word limits are taken off, and things can more more freely done on the MSN protocol.
aMSN can be found at: http://amsn.sourceforge.net/
If people use multiple protocols (e.g. MSN & AIM & Yahoo etc etc), then there is GAIM, which is starting to have voice/video (known as gaim-vv). GAIM is very good and has some nice little plug-ins. GAIM can be found at: http://gaim.sourceforge.net/ (the GAIM-vv module can be found at: http://gaim-vv.sourceforge.net/ )
Best thing is these two pieces of software have the same features on whatever platform you use. So if you are a Mac/Linux user then you wont suffer from the Windows versions have more features. - another good thing is no stupid adverts!
More Open Source software can be found at: http://www.sourceforge.net/
ciao for now.... Daniel.
God, really. You're all retards.
Whilst i'm all for open source software, If a piece of software is open source it doesnt necessarily mean its good.
Same goes for none open source software, it doesnt automatically mean that its crap.
I happen to quite like the official msn messenger client, and im a strong linux user.
And more things can be done with the MSN proticol with the original msn messenger client usign additional plugins.
but it's still Microsoft. In actual fact, I'm on AIM now, it's, I dunno... a bit better I spose. I don;t really chat much any way.
