Recently, there was a thread in this section dedicated to people whom you hate. Unfortunately - and somewhat inevitably - this thread soon degenerated into a piece of pointless bitching and had to be closed by a moderator. So, I'm launching this thread in order to see what happens to this one.

    I really respect lots of major writers, Hunter S. Thomson, Irvine Welsh, A.L Kennedy, James Hogg, Edgar Allen Poe, William Souter, Robert Burns, Tom Leonard, Neill Gunn, C.M Grieve, Alisdair Gray etc etc. They way they can articulate ideas, make you feel part of the world they have created. The amount of time they spend creating it, the amount of themselves they sacrifice to the story. Lots of respect for that.
