Good publicity int it.
Exactly. Some things cannot change by simply manipulating prices and availability. A more 'sensible' attitude to alcohol is required in this country.
and i dont think stopping happy hour is a good thing
stopping happy hours that go on for 4/5 hours is a good thing
they need to come down heavy on all those pubs and bars that done understand the concept of an hour
If you want to stop binge drinking, you need to end the 11pm chucking-out time.
What is wrong is when it is cheaper to buy a double measure than two singles- that makes people drink more than they wanted to, as they don't want to miss out on a "deal".
Although I can see what they are getting at. Most of the bars have 2 for 1 drinks before 10 pm, and you have to guzzle them down quickly in order to go somewhere else (as most places charge entry after 10pm).
I definitely drink less when I go out because the drinks are so expensive.
I don't see why everyone has to be penalised because of the minority of idiots though.
I don't especially want to, but my friends refuse to go anywhere else.
Easier said than done.
its hard to be making new friends when they supposed ti be anonymous
