In the week, I dont eat dinner, and can usually eat healthy foods, but when it gets to the weekend, i always binge on really unhealthy foods, any ideas on how to get my eating patterns right?

Eat dinner during the week.

That's the best advice I can give you. Eating regularly and on a set schedule keeps your metabolism regular instead of erratic.

Try eating smaller meals four or five times a day. This is a better way for your body to use the energy from the food and healthier than eating a lot a few times a day.

I eat a lot of junk on the weekends too. As well as drink a few beers. But I do best when I try to treat the weekend just like any other day of the week and eat at set times.

a starve-binge cycle isnt good for the body because it muddles your metabolism (the rate at which your body burns energy). By not eating your body goes into 'starve mode' where your body lowers your metabolism to try and conserve the energy you do havea dn so when you next eat it stores the energy from your food for longer.
the starve-binge cycle is hard to break and takes will power. the best way is to eat regularly like Alex says. Binges are triggered when you have been starving your body of food because you body craves food you end up eating anything...usually junk. when you next binge dont punish yourself by denying yourself food at dinner. try to get on track again by thinking of what you'll next eat and when. planning can help and writing down what you eat too. regular eating will boost your metabolism and your energy levels. it might be hard to do at first but like they say... it takes 28 days to break a habit!!! (i dont know that for sure but keep trying!)

Alastair or Alex... could u check what i've said incase i have said something wrong here!!? I'm not a sports boff but i'm pretty good with eating disorders and dieting and weight loss!!!!! (well, i like to think!!!!)

Tinkabee, my name doesn't begin with A, but yes, you are correct.

The 28 day thing is debatable though.

Tinkabee and Miss Quoted are absolutely right.

I was too lazy to put down the whole explanation. God Bless people that aren't lazy.

Funnily enough, although I'm skeptical about the 28 day thing, I know that I've heard it or read it somewhere before.

Yeah I've heard that too, I don't know if it's 'proven'.
It is probably around the length of time for a new thing to become habit or routine though.
