How many hours roughly per day do you spend on the net?

Do you think you spend too much time on the net?

And do view the time spent on the net wasted or worthwhile?

    atm most of my free time.
    Too much time on the net.
    I dont see it as wasted.

    The computer is online for 10-12 hrs a day (my unmetered access time is 7 to 7). But I'm usually only surfing for about 4-5 hrs. I spend a bit more time online at the weekends. Due to sleeping patterns those 4-5 hrs of surfing can be at any time of the evening/early hrs of the morning.

    I think I spend a little bit too much time online, but not excessive.

    I don't think it's a waste of time. There's always something to do, sites to visit, forums to participate in, emails to write, people to chat with in chat rooms and using IM programs.

    I sometimes think I could be doing something better with my time, such as learning something new - eg Photoshop, Flash, or programming. Or just reading a book.

    4 hours, maybe a bit more or less depending on the day.

    I do spend too much time on the net.

    It's time wasted and worthwhile, I get enjoyment out of it, but unfortunately it's addictive and very time consuming...

    currently about 6 hours a day
    it is too much
    its a waste but its cuz I'm on pc all day writin up uni work so I am also online!
    No msn tho-god I;d not get any work done at all!

    Hmm about 5-6 hours a day probably. Basically online whenever i'm not doing something else... harldy watch TV at all these days (I'm including 'online research' time too).

    I'd say min of 8 hours a day to say max of 12 hours sometimes.

    The majority of the time it's just wasted but others it's because i'm doing website editor tasks which are rather time consuming.

    I spend a good few hours on the internet; either posting/torturing you lot on this or chattin on msn. T'is about it.

    Though there's days were I don't get on at all, as I'm out, working/college or too feckin tired these days.

    When I'm home, I'd say I do spend a lot of time online, though I can't say how many hours.
    There are many things I'd rather be doing actually, but I can't.

    I usually spend a couple of hours a day on the net and if I've got nothing better to do (usually at the weekend) I can spend ages.

    It's not wasted cos it's fun and I've usually got nothing better to do (how sad)

    1-2 hours a day, sometimes more or less, not really too much, yea i do enjoy it but it is often wasted time i could be spending being more productive. I have a habit of procrastinating!

    laptop can often show 40 hours plus connected to house network when i disable the network card

    just leave it on i do

    Ever since switching from Pay per minute dial up to broadband the way I use the net has changed a lot - my laptop is on most of the time but obviously I'm not always using the net it maybe on downloaingd stuff, etc

    Anyway whatever it is I'm sure it's better to be online then watching tTV

    I get 4 days off every other week, and most of it is spent at the gym, cinema or on the net because my girlfriend works 9-5 mon-sat

    I work 12 hour shifts on a helpdesk so I use the net for 48 hours over 2 days/2 nights in work and maybe an hour a day whilst at home.

    It's not really too much time though because I'm at work, I'd never sit at the PC this long at home!

    It varies. My laptop is usually on from about 9 or 10 am until I go to bed, because I use it for music listening, and I just dont switch it off all day, even if I go out.

    I probably do, but I have to do things like check my email every day for messages from my course tutors and things.

    A lot of it is wasted, but sometimes it is worthwhile. I should do other things sometimes, and don't.

    I spend on average bout 7-10 hours a week.

    If when i wasnt on the net i watched tv or was just a bum i would say yes. But i have a life, play alot of sport and get out alot. So no.
