And men... what're you all having then? :)

C'mon, I'm looking for inspiration here! Bored with cheese sandwiches, nice as they are with salt and vinegar crisps in them...

Which brings me on to the question... when one arises at lunchtime, does one eat breakfast or lunch? :p

So, no-one else eating today then?

I want something.... different. But the most exciting thing in the house is a tin of soup. :/

Yeah, thanks for that. Just because I enjoy my food, I dont see why I should feel any shame in that.

Today I will be having a cornish pasty and then an apple.

    Thats not fruity!

I think she was using the term 'fruity' figuratively, to suggest that I was a little, you know, poofy.

Oh, and I should point out that my cornish pasty isnt one of those limp horrid little things from a garage. Its a proper one.

I tried to have a biscuit. And couldn't get it down with the coughing. *tears in eyes* So I gave up.

That'll teach me to try to eat a digestive when I'm sick

I've never tried them before, and they won the tossup between themselves or lentil soup.

Breakfast, of course. And lunch is postponed to a later time, when you've had time to digest the breakfast.

Brunch is the best, with everything. Should take about 2 hours to finish if you do it right.

I just found it in the dictonary, and apparently its pronunciation is different. I thought you took "br" from "breakfast" and "unch" from "lunch".

I did take those two bits of words, but I was far from the first one to do so.

I only just had my lunch, so I'll reply now...

I had cream of asparagus soup with croutons and a piece of baguette.

Then my housemate offered me a piece of her mums homemade shortbread which was really nice.
