Tight, Stingy and Penny Pincher

Do they all mean the same thing?

Not sure about the others but to me a Penny Pincher is someone that don't mind spending on expensive things like a flight to go on holiday but once they're there they'll try and save every last penny they can.

    How on earth does a person run up that kinda of debt?

    Any my aunt and uncle are perfect exampleof being penny pinchers .. they pay for their son to fly oer to the UK but don't want to pay for the phone call to let us know when he's due to arrive
