oil has to be best simply cos there is no such thing as vegatable fat meaning ...it's man made.

I'd have thought it was the other way around, vegetable Oil I thought has all sort of preservatives, etc??

I've notice food comes up much crispier in the veg fat then oil and it doesn't smell like the oil does as well and get into your clothes and stuff!!

I'd have thought the fat to just be the solid version of the oil.

It is, BUT, as oil isn't solid at room temperature they have to bombard it with hydrogen to make it so, thus turning it into extremely unhealthy trans fatty acids. Just as bad for you as saturated fat, if not worse. So it's got to be oil all the way for me, cause I don't want shagpile arteries.
