    Capdown :thumb:

Not all the bands on that website are brittish though but it is all similar style of punk/ska.
You might also like bands like 4ft Fingers, The filaments, Consumed
Golf records also have brittish bands and also fat wreck chords have loads of good bands in the same style of music, but again not all of them are brittish.

Naaah, there were far better bands. The Clash for one. PiL were far better than the Pistols as well.

Better maybe, but not as infulential.

Absolute rubbish. The Clash were far more influential than the Pistols ever were. They influenced a whole load of post-punk bands to experiment with reggae and dub techniques, to take on disco/funk influences, to be overtly political etc.

The pistols gave serious prominance to what perviously had been an underground genre.

Without the pistols there would have been no clash.

More like Mclaren did. Yes, I'll concede that point, but musically, The Clash were far more influential.

I'd say Joy Division were punk.

I'm not sure if you'd class them as punk but I think Sham 69 are worth a listen.

Warsaw were punk. By the time they changed their name to Joy Division, their sound had definitely moved on.
