Think this is the right forum.

Anyway, I saw a guitar with no body, just a foam-coated metal frame... If that makes sense. Is there a special name for these?

    Not exactly, but it's along those lines. I searched for Birdfish guitars to see if I could find one I'm on about, but couldn't. There's a complete outline of the guitar I'm on about.

    This is the website for them. The brand name is Teuffel Guitars. I can't think of any other guitars that fit the description. Unless it's a Steinberger or a resonator.
