Boy shot in lamping accident
this is the second time in the last few months that this has occured.
What infurriates me about this story is that, while we have page after page of stories about the pitfalls of drugs, drink and antisocial behaviour, this practice of 'Lamping' has claimed another young victim.
Does running around in the dark with bright lights and guns sound woefully dangerous to anyone else?

between llangollen and barmouth ...about 70 miles ...foxes are dealt with by shooting parties.
up to a hundred local farmers will turn out for these shoots in daylight. armed with walkie talkies and guns. they sweep the landscape in broad lines. there have always been accidents over the years. but the lowlanders will now start the same practice ...and i'd put money on it there will be even more accidents as they will be relatively inexperienced in organising these events.
Yesterday while I was at work an UNSUPERVISED 6 year old was killed when his trials bike crashed.
Should we ban trials bikes?
No, we should ban stupid parents.
I can't remember what my point was. I think we should ban both. Well at least ban under 10 year olds riding them.
I see no reason to ban it, especially as those involved are either farmers, or people who eat what they kill and they work in 2's and 3's.
mental illness is a no no. if convicted of supplying class A drugs you cannot even own a replica for ten years.
i was convicted of supplying ten quids worth of heroin and was therefore not allowed a gun of any description for ten years.
But it's fun.
But is there any testing of competency as there is with driving licences?
you cannot even hire a chainsaw nowadays unless you can produce a certificate of competance ...makes you think dunnit.
It worries me to be honest, please tell me they have to take out insurance.
:eek2: (speechless)
I can't recall there being an incident round here for years.
