Condom Allergy?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the symptoms of a condom allergy are.

I think i may have an allergy to latex but i'm not sure as i have no clue what the symptoms are. (yeah, i feel a little dumb!) <IMG SRC="rolleyes.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
I'm worried it may be an sti, so any info will be appreciated so i can do something about it a.s.a.p.

Latex allergy is rare, but it could be that. It may be worth switching to a polyurethane condom (eg Durex Avanti) to see if that helps.

It could be a reaction to the spermicide used, so perhaps try using condoms that don't say 'spermicidally lubricated'.

The other option might just be too much friction. In which case, lubrication is the answer.

STI's also should be considered, and if none of the above work to relieve the symptoms, you should see your GP, or pop along to the local GUM clinic.

Nonoxynol 9, an HIV killing spermicide, causes very common reactions. Like Kent said try an unlube one, but use plenty of water based lube with it, not marge or chip fat <IMG SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

You can also buy allergy condoms in most chemists.
