Just saw a programme on TV where this doctor inserts the implants thorugh the Belly Button so there is zero scars onthe breasts .. OMG what will they think of next!!

Yeah it was, certainly a clever idea, although the doctor has to be careful not to pertrude into the abdomen or heart area as he creates a passage to the muscle under the breast
I watched the rest of the programme though...couldnt switch it off.

What is it thats disgusting about breast implants - the thought of them or the reality of them?
Under what circumstances, if any, would it be ok?
reconstructive, thats not so bad because its replacing something that was once there, its not faking u have something that u didnt have before

yeh i suppose it is the mental side of it i dont agree with. I dont like people who fake something they havent got.
but it doesnt apply to me really, i dont plan on ever getting implants and i dont go looking at womens boobs so theres no problem.
Most of the time I wear clothes so obviously its not a problem, but I feel as though I have some hidden deformity and I really wish they just looked normal.
Id love to have implants but cant afford it, and dont want to jeapordise being able to feed any future babies so am just stuck with what ive got for now.
If breast implants are disgusting, then basically im in a lose/lose situation.

For me real = best because I know it's all natural & not fake.
To me fake has as much appeal as a bloke wearing a bra stuffed with socks.
I think what it is with me is that boobs aren't like a visual sex object that women have i'd see it as degrading if I thought they were.
I suppose it's like a woman getting a boob job to get a man cause supposed all men love big boobs. If a women got a boob job to feel more womanly & to give her a self worth boost then I could understand why she has go fake & not totally real boobs.

With lots of bodily features they differ from one person to the next & each person will have an ideal of what's perfect/normal.
Your boobs may be normal to somebody but then to others & yourself not normal.

Also a breast uplift reduces the cup size by one size on average, and I really havent got that to lose, since im only an AA to an A cup.
Id like to go to about a C cup.
My boobs are only a B cup and yeah bigger boobs would be nice but the ones i have look ok how they are and i would rather have these than some artifical ones.

if you want it and it will make you feel better then go for it, and obviously the main reason for plastic surgery opertaions is to boost self esteem and i guess that can never be a bad thing.
From what you described before it sounds like the skin has sagged after having a baby and gaining and losing weight I'm therefore guessing (without looking) that a mere implant wouldn't really give you the results you're after and the extra weight of the implant could make it sag more??
I found this pic on a cosmetic surgery site, and its showing how some breasts if small enough can can get away with just an augmentation, which does provide some lift on its own.
The pics here are as close to my problem as I can find, although I do think the after effect is a bit too large, its still an improvement on the before pic.

see above for a few shots, although I think 99% of them look fake, Number 5 looks pretty natural though .. most of the other just don't look real.
Also a lot of people actually opt for fake looking ones, whereas if you told the surgeon that natural looking was a priority, im sure it can be done.
