... do you think it's plausable to have the scene with the mother-ship and the crazy music from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" played at my funeral. I think it would really liven up the whole tone of the event to have it on via a massive plasma screen t.v. as my coffin is being lowered into the ground.

Or maybe just some cheerleaders?

Sounds bit weird but it would be your funeral........with the cheerleaders cheering you into the ground..... surrounded by people crying sounds like a arkward scene.

Where my grandfather came from, people celebrated whenever someone died (of age). In a sense, they were right. So you should do whatever you like.

My Nan always used to say funerals are for the living, not the dead, and I agree. So when I go my nearest and dearest can do whatever they want, cause whilst my funeral is unlikely to improve my mood any, it might make them feel a bit better.
