Its really hard for a parent to chose a name for their baby, its got to stay with them for the rest of their lives! Like bullying and stuff, I could never chose a name!:p

    Well my kids, and what they would have been called if they were the opposite sex for the record, are;

    Matthew David - Jade
    Karen Jennifer - Simon
    Scott - Holly
    Lewis William - Angel
    and
Samuel John Paul - Sophie Nicole

and I 'aint having no more! So I don't need anymore baby names.

ETA: None of them gets called their proper name though, it's Matt, Carrie, Scotty, Lewie and Sam.

Yeah, I dont know why people need to give their kids rotten names. Im not sayin everyone call their kids names the same, but 'normal' names will do!!! My mate got picked on cos her name was Adia, my name is quite 'normal' compared to some names I went to school with! Its different spellin though, it should be Bryony but mum and dad wanted to be different:p

    Whats your name??

I am giving my kids special names.
No offence to anyone, but a name is given to distinguish people from each other. So instead of yelling out "boy" and getting 30 kids running up to you, you can call out "Felix" and if Felix is feeling nice that day, he will respond - therefore I am sick of people using common names.
It doesn't have to be weird, but aren't there enough Sarahs (just an example) in the world?

Fuck the bullies, they have a problem. And if anything I had one of the most unusual names imagined here in Denmark, and people never felt the need to bully me with it. Got the piss taken some times, but people were never cruel. And today I am told that it is a beautiful name.

Fair enough. Im just sayin that I know that people get bullied about their name, kids are the most evil things! But Im not sayin name you kid a 'common' name, there are some names I would never call my kid cos its too 'common'.

You havent answerd my question:p what would you call your kid?:)

Like my mam giving me 'Lee' as a middle name rather than 'Leigh' as she thought I'd have trouble spelling it when I got older. Charming; aint she

They're safe though, with either being put in private schools or being home schooled. If they were in my old school though, they're be ripped to pieces and would need to bulk up, if they didn't want to be teased anymore.

to me a "special" name is something like my grandfathers name or whatever. ie a name that actually means something to me and my partner. not something "unique" and stupid :|
