....................how the hell do you permamently get rid ? A friend has millions of them and apparently its been treated with the powder that you sprinkle to get rid but they come back.
Its quite a serious problem so any tips/advice would be really appreciated. They are the flying ones ? they are all the same to me lol

my dad goes mad bout the things too+always puts creosolt (sp) around the edge of the house and then ant powder all around the edge of the carpets, ggrrr :mad:

Spray a strong solvent on them. They melt. (metal polish works actually)

spray ant killer around the outside of your house where there is openings like windows and doors or really just all around the base and stuff. that always keeps the ants out of our house, they always come into the laundry toom (which is just another reason for me not to do laundry )

Light a match or get a lighter and put it close to the ants, spray aerosal hair spray...and WA-LA!!!! (it's kind of addicting too but the smell is horrid) they disappear INSTANTLY!!!! :crazyeyes

Boiling water. I used to have so much fun running round the garden with loads of boiling water (occasionally in a spray bottle with soap) and drowing them all. If you listened carefully you'd hear their squeals; "Help meeeeeee!" How fun. >: D

How about, all your little solutions are shit and just go out and spend £1.50 on some Nippon Ant Killer. Ant takes Nippon to queen, rest of the workers have a good gargle, die in a few days.

Use sulphuric acid on them:p We usually use boiling water and powder to kill them, but sometimes we use silicone adhesive to block up the entrance to their nest so they cant get out...muahahahahahaha
