parmesan

Last night my boyfriend and me ordered pizza and parmesan and it got me thinking...does anyone on here know what a parmesan is? Not the cheese, the fantastically calorific delicacy. :yum:

I'm pretty sure that it's just a North East thing so I was wondering how far a field the knowledge of 'parmos' had managed to get.

yes I am very bored...humor me

    Parmesan is Italian.

EDIT: In actual fact I think Parmesan is English for Parmigiano.

what did it have in it?
I googled it, and it came up with loads of different dishes.
Eggplant parmesan, fish parmesan, asparagus parmesan, oysters parmesan.

Was it a pasta dish, a bread dish, a vegetable dish, a potato dish, a souffle, a flan?
its a bit hard to tell just from calling it a parmesan.
