Things you can do...
1.Wink at them <IMG SRC="wink.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
2.Lick ur lips once! :P
3.Cross ur legs and try to show a lil thigh even if ur not confident with them. <IMG SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
4.Look across the room at them... dont stare, glance & smile. <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
5.If thier behind u, look into a ur lil cosmetic mirror and put on lip stick and glance back every now & then showin ur noticin them.
6.If ur hair is up let it down & and comb it back with ur fingers.. guys love that.
7.Don't show off..u'll only end up trippin up & embarrasin urself.
8.If ur drinkin or eating something, even if ur not start playin wit ur lips with ur index finger.. guys love that..if u wana suck on ur finger now dont over do it... do it just for a couple of seconds. :P
9.Keep eye contact at all times.
10.When walking swing ur hips not to much jus a lil so ur noticed and get wolf whistles by all the guys around... walk as if ur on air..lie a swan as they say. Dont bop!!! thats a no no, u dont wana look like u realy need 2 go toilet! <IMG SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
If that doesnt catch the eye of ur man <IMG SRC="eek.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> then he really is a fool and not worth ur time unless he's a tease himself lol.Those are my 10 steps i will b addin more plz giv in tips...

yes they have worked i use them all the time...
for the rest of u wtf are u all on. If u want head ur lookin in the wrong place i only work on weekends!!! jk
btw this stuff are tips for girls not really guys so if ur confused wit that let that put ur mind to rest.

1. girl stares at me 6 months

2. girl hangs around near me, catches my eye, moves closer still staring at me

3. even the most pessimistic of friends says "she really fancies you she keeps lookin for you when you aint here" etc

4. ask girl out

5. get laughed at everytime i walk past girl and girls mates coz girl didnt like me at all.

How about this then:

1) Attend university Labour Club AGM straight from spending hours in the library and looking like shit.

2) Spot outgoing Communications Officer [or whoever] and think, "hmm, he seems quite nice" but then think no more of it, taking into account the fact you look like shit and have little chance.

3) End up sitting next to him in restaurant, during the social, and sharing 2 bottles of wine with him

4) When he asks you to go along with everyone to a club after the meal, protest how you really should be getting back to halls. [the playing hard to get move?]

5) Finally agree to go to club. Reality dawns that - yes! - he likes you too. Snog. Swap numbers etc. and turn into a nice little long term relationship.

See, it doesn't always happen from concerted attempts to flirt (although, perhaps in this case alcohol acts as a worthy substitute). Sometimes the whole thing's better when it all happens unexpectedly.....

You weren't entirely successful there then...but, yes, I am perfectly aware that I should win the award for the saddest "how we got together" story.

I didn't make it quite clear in my post, but the point I was trying to make is that many things you wrote in your list - lick your lips once, the cosmetic mirror 'game', and all that malarky - all seem good in magazine "how to get him" tips columns and work perfectly well in films, but in real life they give the impression of trying a bit too hard, fancying yourself, and showing off - which, as you also put, is a no-no. Flirting is fine, but going over the top, which I have visions of anyone who tries out all those tips simultaniously doing, will just make you look a prat. And that's not just directed at you, Pheonix, the same applies to anyone. I think there are either subtler ways to do it, or just be direct - the old "do you want a drink" line works wonders. And talking to the bloke concerned always helps <IMG SRC="wink.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

I know my list was pointless. It was meant to be pointless, but no more so than any other. You can't just define successful pulling like that. But who knows, maybe my list will be of use to someone - you never know when the "looking shit after a tiring few hours in the library" look will come back in.....
