A Cold

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Ok, as the title says, I have a cold, but was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on how to ease some of the symtoms of the cold, such as the cough, the head and nose pressure and the closing in of the ears, due to the cold, etc., etc.?

Thanks to anyone who can/may help.

Painkillers - mainly paracetamol. Take the recommended dosage as long as you aren't allergic to it.

Also try melting some vapor rub in a bowl of hot water and sitting with a towel over your head to ease congestion in your chest and head.

More fruit/juice drinks than you would usually have to keep your vitimins high. Drink loads of liquids. Get as much rest/sleep as you can and it should help you recover quicker.

Are you sure it's a cold and not hay fever?

If it is a cold then I'd suggest something medicinal, like Sudafed. Works for me. Need to drink plenty though...
