European Parliament Elections Thursday!

Ok guys tomorrow (today probably as well by the time some people read this) is the date for the elections for you to use your vote to decide who you want to represent you in the European Parliament. Basically it goes like this:
The Country is divided up into a number of regions.
Each of these regions gets to vote for a number of MEP's (Members of The European Parliament) to represent them.
The system used is proportional representation. The number of seats a party gets is directly based on the percentage of the vote they get. (For example 50% in a 4 seat constituency means 2 seats)
You vote for the Party you want, not individuals.
Votes are counted and seats are allocated.
I beg of you please use your vote. Dont give me that 'Oh my vote doesnt matter anyway' and 'They are all the same' crap because it just wont cut it with me. Each of the parties has a different set of policies. Dissatisfied with how the government is doing things (Iraq?) Then here is your chance to show it. Furthermore A low turn out would give the Far Right Extremist AND Rascist British National Party seats if they secure enough of the vote. Do you want these thugs to represent you in the European Parliament? No? Then get off your arse and vote. The higher the turn out, the less chance the BNP will gain seats.
Also donr forget that there are numerous local council elections tomorrow as well as the elections of the Mayor of London and the Greater London assembly.
I will leave you with this, if you do not use your vote. What right do you have to complain about what the government is doing when you could not be bothered to go and have a say in who represents you in the first place.
Please do the right thing tomorrow and use your vote
Thank You

(Is that supportive enough?)
Nah, seriously, I agree with him. Please vote tomorrow, people!
I've already voted by post though - two weeks ago, so it's hard for me to get too excited!
i think you'd have to shove dynamite up the arses of a lot of folk in here though ...just to get them remotely interested.
some of them have tortoises for pets can you believe?
QUIT IT DANNY!
weve all heard it before.
he just likes to annoy people
hes been going on and on and on about it for at least 4 months now
Public forum, he can post what he wants. Lay off him for a change.
You're telling his sister to lay off her brother? Not a chance
If he'd posted this in P&D he would merely be telling people who are already interested in Politics (and already know about the elections and stuff and probably already decided who to vote for) which would make it a pointless post
I was only attempting to annoy Renzokuken
I know the feeling. My sister incessantly annoys and nags me....
Which you totally failed to do
And um yeah, I havnt been going on about it for 4 months  One week NO 10 days
And no she isnt my sister
Polls are open until 10pm. Go Go Go!
This is not a politics and debate thread it is an attempt to get people out to vote
Agree.
What is the point of it being in P&D. Most of us are already politically active. This was aimed at those who never visit this forum...

b) is ther any hope whatsoever of the mods using some common sense here?
c) sadly this is a bit late for a lot of people with postal voting.....
you mean some people have actually received their ballot papers then
<is glad to be able to vote properly>
Yeah I got mine ages ago actually, I think the hype is a bit over the top really, everyone I know got theres frankly, and it really isn't very complicated, just the Lib Dems and Tories trying to score points i think.........
Personally I have normal voting process here. I'm happy with it and personally don't see the need for postal voting across the board. It's not like voting normally requires massive effort...
If people are unable to get to a polling station then postal votes and proxy votes are available.
A lot of people do have the worng atiitude, i think people need to be made to realise how important voting is but it is difficult, if it is made easier then more will vote.......
Doesn't mean that I can't hold the "lazy" people in contempt though
