Quick help with hair salons - Regis/Lacore/Toni & Guy

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
While Regis and Lacore are meant to be good salons for women, are either any good for men? Why one is better?

Also, would you say Toni Guy is better than both of them?

I know this is fashion, I might consider deleting it after.

Quick replies appreciated ;D

My dad loves Toni and Guy but in my experience they cut your hair how they think you want it, whatever you say... Supposed to be good for guys though.

Ok boyo - Chill will ya :p

Only know Toni&Guy and find they are a rip off. As someone else said, they do what they want rather than doing what 'you' want and charging ya a bloody fortune for it.

Don't go to Toni & Guy. I sometimes go in there with friends because "they don't DO Afro hair" and they are quite snooty. If you ask for a certain style, they say something like "that wouldn't suit you, but I know what would!" and continue to do whatever they want. Fair enough, it does often look good, but it still isn't what you ask for.

One guy I know went in there to get it done, and he thinks he looks like a male model, but he looks like Rod Stewart. :/

    Quality comment :thumb:

I've got the best hair of just about anyone I know, and it costs just £10 from the local salon.

Depends what kind of hairdo you got/want though I suppose.

People often can't be sure if a style will suit them until they have it done. These people are trained to know in a way I guess, wouldn't you want them to tell you if you'd look like an idiot?

My boyfriend has been to Toni and Guy a couple of times. Its overpriced, but his mum pays so it doesnt really matter. they do it really nicely, but I know what people mean when they said that they make suggestions for you and go of on their own a bit. My other thing that annoyed me there was when he booked an appointment to cut his hair from shoulder length to short, I went with him, and the guy there said he needed a senior stylist to do it, because he basically didnt know what he was doing! Not something that fills you with confidence.

I just get a 2 back and sides, cut short on the top, and I mess it up with product.

Suits me though, I look sexy.
