relationships with friends

can you forge a b/f - g/f relationship with someone you've been friends with for long time and make it work? if things dont work out, do people go back to being friends or is it too "weird" to go back to the way things were and you lose touch with them etc etc?

would appreciate it if people had any experiences of this (good or bad) and whether it is worth it in the long term?

Yeah, the topic started by me! Lol.

My relationship was with my best friend. Although we're split now after a year, and things are kinda bad... I would say it's definitely worth it. Being good friends first is the best way to start a relationship, I'd give it the thumbs up!

And I'm still trying to get back to being good friends again... I think with time it'll work out.
