Lukesh and other newbies, let me give you some tips because I sincerely believe we need some more right-wingers and conservatives on this board.
My political views are to the left but I never draw my sources from the Daily Mirror as within a political debating forum I know tabloids are never taken seriously due to the fact they are not that serious papers.
If you wish to use a right wing source, The Times and The Telegraph are the best UK newspaper sources. Other than that the BBC is considered as a good source.
The other option is to use google to research and back up your facts with a credible source as I did with my post in the 'Prisons' thread. It took me two or three minutes to find that source all I did was enter the keywords 'Prisoners UK TV Licences' hey presto!
However you do not need to produce a source if you are expressing an opinion as opposed to stating a fact.
Theres nothing wrong with saying something you believe in but you will be challenged if you make a strong statement as a fact.
Hope this helps.
(Other regulars/Mods on these boards please add your tips or suggestions but please no personal flaming or sarcasm as this thread is to encourage newbies, you know dull it gets when we all have the same opinion)

Might educate a few of them yet:)
However most here are open to persuasion or at least a good debate.
If you want blind rhetoric goto Urban75.com they think everything involving the use of money in exchange for goods or services is heresy.
I'm Middle Way, agree with right wingers on the police and military and how to teach kids to behave, but left wingers on immigration, NHS and schools.
Give it a couple of generations and they'll be as British as the rest of us.
Just goes to show you're never actually read it. Just going for the typical knee jerk response. Kind of proves my point on the other thread about rightwingers.
U75 runs the whole gamut from anarchists and Marxists to Liberal Democrats, liberals, Tories and hard right neo-liberals. But its slant is left, just like the slant on here is right.
Which ones? The ones you read about in The Sun?
I for one think the boards are right leaning. In particular regarding immigration issues, and especially when you consider the immense majority of users are teenagers or people in their early twenties. If anything you would have thought that young people are mostly free of the prejudice that affects so many old folks...
Definintely a right wing slant, when it comes to immigration, race and law and order.
I'd say the boards are fairly leftish... but only slightly. We have a fairly even balance on some issues.
As for myself... I dunno, a sort of eco-socialist type person? Green all the way man Not that it ever shows in any of my posts.
Can you tell who is a "bogus" asylum seeker, just by looking at them? Are you Superman?
How do you know who is a bogus asylum seeker by looking at them? Come on, should be easy enough for you to answer.
"just looka t them" So you can tell peoples life story by looking at them?
You're fucking deluded pal.
Source?
I suggest you read this

Errrr...they're an NGO working with asylum seekers, I think they know a bit more about it than you do.
So where did you get your figures from then?
At least it presents verifiable data... as opposed to your beloved S*n or the Daily Mosley who create big scary headlines out of rumours and half truths that turn out to be utter bollocks.
And eating our donkeys and swans.
And how old are you? How much of the world have you seen?
We don't have a Liberal government.
Its normal though, when you're 16 to think you know it all. I did.
Just be aware that you actually know very little about people and life.
Not in the slightest.
You've done very well for a 16-year old kid. You've learnt all these experiences of 'the real world' from the S*n?
Errrr...I do know. I lived in Birmingham for 10 years, I have friends who work with asylum seekers, I've even known some socially.
I've also lived in Sheffield, Wolverhampton and Brighton, so I think I've had a bit of experience of different places.
I currently live in the London Borough of Lambeth, one of the most ethnically diverse areas in the country, so I do know, thanks.
So don't tell me what I do and don't know.
