Age difference..

Hi all! Just got in to a new relationship in the past few weeks, but only found out last night that the guy is 18, and i'm turning 21 soon. He looks much older, and i thought that he was at least 20!! all my previous boyfriends have been at least 2 years older, and this just feels weird going out with someone younger!!
Is it just me being silly or what? Anyone else been in this situation?
I feel like a cradle snatcher or something!
{probably making a mountain out of a mole hill, but gimmie advice purlease?!?)

21-18 is nothing...Dont worry about it.

If you were 21 and he was 16 then it might be a little dodgy.

BD, I thought that equation was applied the other way round?!?

CiaraD, don't worry, it seems almost all my past g/f's were older than me a least a little, my current Lady is 8 years older and we've been going strong for 16 months now. Age has less to do with compatability than personality, but then, I would say that wouldn't I???

If you like him then I'd say go for it. Age is just a number, as long as your happy and he is then don't worry about it.

My boyfriend is 14 years older than me and I really dont care age isn't anything to get hung up over its how they make you feel that counts. If your new bloke makes you happy then go for it.

my boyfriend is 11 years older then me and it makes no difference to us, even my parents approve of him( which is unusual 4 them!) just enjoy what you have and don't worry

I'm 15 and my boyf is 20. When we 1st got together there were people who didnt think is was 'right'! well I can tell you that we have been together for a year. Proving age differences do work if you love each other, or if its too early for love, if you have a spark.

I gotta say that 15 and 20 is getting close to the dodgy side of things. I think the fact that its rape if you two sleep together is a bit of a bad thing.

I'm 16, bf is 15, been together a fair length of time . . . it does work. of course it might be different at 21, but I honestly don't care about the age difference (well, excepting him not being 16 until halfway through next year, which is aggravating <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">). give it a try if you like him.

How would you feel about a 10 year old girl with a 15 year old boy? How about a 40 year old man with a 12 girl. Age gaps dont matter?

I'm 15 and my boyfriend is 20 aswell. I think we are just about on the borderline but we are in love and there is no way 2 stop feelings like that. It's a bit stupid to say a 40year old and 12year old would fall in love, unless of course, you aren't living in reality. But then the world is full of crazy people so you never know what's gonna happen. I do agree that its sick but my parents have 10 years between them, i think age difference in relationships doesnt matter but only once you get to a certain point in your life. So a 10year old and 20year old sounds really bad, but a 43year old and 53year old isnt so bad.The age differnce is the same. Theres nothing seriously wrong with a 15 and 20 year old together as long as they are in love. Theres also a big difference between someone whos just turned 15 and someone whos about to turn 16.

There are exceptions everywhere but 15-20 is getting toward the creepy line.
