While I was into these discussions a few days ago, I had my ICQ on and one lad from a nearby town contacted me. He seemed like a very nice person, though the pic he sent me was not very impressive <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">
Anyway after only 30 min of chatting we arranged to meet. Never done it through the internet before and I felt right weird and nervous.
But I don't regret it one bit! He looks nothing like in the photo - much much better in real life, and he's funny and intelligent too. He was really shy and I thought he'd never make a move to kiss me <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/wink.gif">. So {again!} I was like 'What's the hell!' and kissed him myself <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"> And then he told me he liked me from the start etc etc
So now I hope it's been a start of something... mmm... nice <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/wink.gif">
Anyway why am I telling you all this?

The thing is that we didn't have a cyber relationship, it all happened very fast, just one chat. So I still don't know him too well.

i met my boyfriend thrugh the internet.. got talking in a chat room, had the same interests, ended up staying up all night talking about stuff! after a few months he came down to see me (from 180 miles away!) with a friend and stayed in a b&b and we went out to the beach and stuff like that.. and a week or two later i went up there with a friend of mine and did the same, and we ended up geting together <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif"> we didnt ask each other out or anything, it just happened.. and we didnt have a "cyber relationship" really and onyl met up as friends. and we've been toogether for 16 months now, so i guess we're proof it works too? although things arent going too well at the moment <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/frown.gif"> <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/frown.gif"> <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/frown.gif"> although that isnt strictly to do with the distance. maybe that contributes to it, having to stay with each other 24 hrs a day when we see each other. slight jealous over him having female friends who i dont like, (ive met them), and spending lots of time wit h them when hes not with me. so i guess you have to have a strong relationship and trust for it to work out. but at least with you anele, you live a lot closer than my boyfriend and i! train tickets get expensive...
How about Ferry tickets... my girlfriend's in France for the year (part of her degree). Travel and phone are bankrupting us, though it's worth it.

Make sure you tell someone where you are going. Arrange to phone them when you get there
