lack of making the move

I hope that someone can help me with this.

A few days ago I was in the pub with my bro and his mates (they're 21) and a girl from my primary school walked in. I had known her a long time and was pretty good mates with her, but I have also liked her for quite a long time. My bro's mates knew this and were winding me up telling me to go over and talk to her. In the end I didn't bother. What should I have really done?

Months before this happened on my birthday, I got a card from this girl and her parents (we send each other birthday cards each year with some money). I sent a letter personally to her back the same day saying thanks for the money and that if she wanted to go out for a drink or the pictures then give me a ring. Was this a bad way of going about it? and if so, have I blown my chance because I think that it will be a while until I see her again?

Naaa i am chicken shit with girls, i find even when i'm pissed i've still not got the balls to go and chat to them, guess its fear of something!

maybe things would have worked out better if you had done what your bro said to do, but its to late for "what ifs".

next time you see a girl you like try talking to her(easy to say on here i know)

i wish i could do the same, i hope you have better luck then me

    happy hunting <IMG SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

aww thats sweet i always think that writing ur thoughts instead of sayin them is better as everyone can b shy... writing gives the girl time to think and decide if she shud do this instead of puttin her on the spot and pressuring her to think if she'd wana spend time with you. I hope all is well and that she writes back you have made the rit decision and choice and i'm sure the feelins between u are mutual...how much money did she put in ur card by the way lol! :P
