Narcisism - a cross to bear

This is a recognised condition where one is so self-aware he loves the image he projects, but finds it hard/impossible to love himself. Everything is a knee jerk reaction to apease the greatest number of people rather than allowing oneself to get onto a level withthe people nearest to him. he fears judgement by passers by. for example I live in city center in halls of residence, if im not always hyper and up 4 it im a bore.. but my flat mates are quite quiet and subsumed..

i wrote this one night.

He stares into darkness as darkness stares back
This man's fortune leaves him no where to hide
He's dreams die and his hopes denied
He's legs are tired and his mind is deprived
What's the purpose of life, but to stumble along
With this feet that are weary and these hands that are worn
Is it time to give up or time to carry on?
This life played out on a stage for the damned
This puppet's dreams get away
While these strings get in the way
This boulder on his back
Has made him understand
That things will never change
And this world is full of pain
His back is scarred and his mind tattooed
There's one thing certain
There is nothing he can do.



this might sound really awful if you're reading this and you're either ugly or plain or short or tallentless.. in which case u couldnt relate to it, but being ULTRAcharismatic isn't all that sometimes...

By the way do you smoke pot or anything? because that can have serious negative effects on the mind such as this or any street drug for that matter,
