I really like some of the early Bob Marley, before he was with his group, his early dancehall stuff is a bit more upbeat and its top.

Whatever music you listen to when your not stoned will sound great when you are stoned but i like lots of different kinds of music when i'm stoned, they all have meaning to the stoned mind.

I don't smoke weed these days, but when I did I used to listen to lots of dub and roots reggae, stuff like John Martyn and Tim Buckley and (ahem! :o ) Ozric Tentacles

Theres more to reggae than Bob Marley. Check out Dennis Brown, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Burning Spear, Steel Pulse, Horace Andy, Lee Scratch Perry, Scientist, Gregory Isaacs, Barrington Levy, Mad Professor and Max Romeo to name a few artists

 Love my drum and bass when I'm getting stoned. Or any time for that matter, but specifically for when I'm getting stoned I prefer the darker side of things a la Mampi Swift, Ed Rush & Optical, etc. but then some of the bouncier bass from Andy C, JJ Frost, etc. It all depends really. LTJ Bukem is always a winner.

Started listening to the harder side of hardcore a lot more recently a la RTC, DHT, Neophyte, Promo, Lady Dana. I suppose it depends who I'm with as well. A large proportion of my mates detest gabber. :p

On the other side of things, Incubus and Audiovent are good.

But at the end of the day, I don't mind anything really as long as it isn't something like Marilyn Manson or Rammstein..

I listen to a lot of Neophyte, Paul Elstak etc ...nu skool gabber is too slow tho IMO. The dutch side of hardcore has always been good - I still treasure the Helter Technodrome packs I have - Scorpio, Producer, Clarkee, Dolphin. :D

Micky Finn's coming to a club here next week :D

Anyway, when I get stoned, I generally like to chill out to the likes of a Tribe Called Quest, DJ Shadow, Lamb, De La Soul, Massive Attack, Incubus, Chili's etc. All depending on my mood.

Anything too bouncy usually does my head in.

if you look closer at the back of the bookcase you'll find a small plastic bag with ......? in it.
honestly i know about these people.
they hide their music in the airing cupboard ...under the bed ...
because they fear someone like me will walk in and make associations with it!
    he's a secret stoner i'm telling you ...
but then i reckon you are as well ...
