Hey,

Im a third year student and Im living in a shared house with two others. However, my friends from home are alot different to my housemates, Im not really getting along that well with the house mates and feel Im not living uni life to the full. I have heard it is meant to be the best time of your life but I think when Im with my home friends I have a much better time. I probably made some wrong decisions when I moved in with these guys. Anyway, not long till I graduate, just seems depressing that I havent made freinds Id keep for life!

James

I haven't got much to say, but here's an amusing article from the Durham Shallot to keep you occupied:

Best three years of life actually really depressing.

well if you're not living your life to the full then you only have yourself to blame unfortunatley. the experience is what you make it. even though you're in your final year, it may not be too late to make more friends and it's certainly not too late to make an effort with the ones you already have. so they may not be like your friends from home. do you actually dislike them? try and socialise more; suggest going to the pub or shopping or do work together.

The Durham link was very true, I look back on school and remember all the good times I had so will probably look back on Uni in the same way. I know it's my fault I havent lived life to the full here but It's had a big effect on my confidence, used to be very confident before uni. Still am when I'm at home...

    Thanks anyway,

    James

    Hmmm, helpful ;)

Student life can be tough and making friends can be even tougher, no matter what stage of life you're at.

Maybe some of the info in this article will help and there's our Making Friends section too.

Oh and I almost forgot, *hugs*.
