D & S are next to each other on the keyboard so could be a typo.

If it is GHD then they are supposed to be the mutts nuts but are really expensive.

I use Mark Hill ones not GHD because i like to have non-singed hair.

Friends have them, have had their hair singed

And i saw it on Watchdog or a similar programme that they set on fire randomly (during use -- ouch) and cause havoc to your hair.

Theres been too many horror stories for me to use them.

GHD are brilliant. Although, Kodo are equally as good, and £20 cheaper :thumb:

GHD over heat too easily, and arent good for a variety of different hair types, they arent versitile enough to work for many people. Too hot.

I bought my sister the Babyliss ones for £30, theyre cheap and they even work on her hair which not many straighteners do! Just ebcause theyre expensive doesnt make them any better than the cheaper ones.

i have hairtools ones i got for £30 on ebay.

they have adjustable heat, and are just as good as GHDs.

i can do my whole head in 10 minutes, and since i discovered that the lower temperatures work just as well on my hair, they haven't damaged it either.

I used to have them, they started off alright, but then didnt work too good on my hair.

Straightners with high temperature shouldn't damage your hair provided that you use a good heat protecting spray before you use them.

I dont think thats true, even if you use a spray your hair still wont be as healthy as if you didnt use straighteners, or blow dry it. The hotter the straighteners are will make a difference eventually.

Ill only straighten my hair on a saturday..

Clearly a cheap copy of GHD! They've even got a similar logo.

Exactly what I thought! I'd rather pay a bit more and have the real thing!

Id rather get a cheaper version if its just as good.
Im quite impressed that they have a 14 days money back offer, so if they turn out to be a pile of wank, then you get a refund, no questions asked.

What does GHS stand for exactly?! lol.

It would be okay if it actually meant something, but just changing one letter to not be an exact copy of GHD is just sad...

    Good Hair Straighteners perhaps?!

I think GHD's are excellent though, no other straighteners I've tried work half as good

    yeh, I agree.

there's been people here saying there's no point in spending that amount and that cheaper ones work just as well on their hair. thing is, it depends on your hair. i had some £40 babyliss ones and they didn't do a lot of good to be honest. i didn't just buy them for the GHD bit, I bought them 'cause they're good.

i have four different sets of hair straighteners. 1 metal, 1 teflon 1 ceramic and my ghds.
my friends have the mark hill or babyliss' expensive ones etc but none of them work on my hair.
the ghd ones do and ive been using them every day for over a year and my hairs not frazzled in the slightest. the only time i had to be careful is when i have the back of my hair bleached. then i tend not to straighten that bit cos its really brittle

Ive got hairtools ones, which do work, but theyre not as good as my hubbys mums Kodo ones, or his sisters GHDs. I would like GHDs, but at £79, I cant really afford them.

    Mine were nearly £100.

At the time I was like  'cause yeh, it is a fair bit of money to spend on some hair straighteners. But if you ask me, they've been a good investment. I've had mine over a year now, and well, I've used them enough times to justify spending nearly £100.

I have Trevor Sorbie Babyliss one's-they're the best ones I have ever had. The GHD ones made my hair look lank. I think it all depends on individual preference though.
