how does it work? one of my higly amusing friends has put me on there for sale :| and he's winding me up whats this whole reserve stuff mean?

    A reserve is a minimum you want to set for the item you're selling.
    Let's say you're selling your invaluable set of Take That CD's. You can set a starting price, say 10 pence, and a minimum price you want for them (the reserve price), for example 50 pence. If the reserver price isn't met (highly likely on a collection of Take That CD's), then they aren't sold, and you keep them.
    It's just a way of preventing your items going for silly small amounts. If you just want shot of something, and don't care how much/how little you get, then don't set a reserve.

    How does it work when those highly publicised auctions of girls selling their virginity come up? Surely that's selling your body in some way? :chin:

    well, it's selling a service, really...

    i don't know ebay's policy on selling services, but it's very strict on humans/parts of humans/livestock.

    we tried to ebay the cat, and they sent us a pissy email and removed the listing.

    there have been some great things sold on Ebay
    Ark of the Covenant
    WMD
    Turin Shroud
    Bucket of water
    Air Pistols (some guy holding his fingers in the shape of a gun)
    Air Guitars

    and some muppet has bought them!

    Lol.. i've never used ebay yet.. not credit card but I would sell stuff on there

    I seen a used tissue (used for wiping something with;) ) on sale the bid was £34when I saw it.

    Somebody paying for something used. Why does that surprise you? You should try using the key words Panties, Knickers, or Stockings. :D

    it is against ebay rules to sell clothing that has been worn and not washed.

    Awww, spoilsports! :D I've checked a few of the ads, and there is a hint in some of the wording that you may be able to make requests on direct sales. :) Looks like some of these are just using ebay to allow buyers to find sellers for private sales, rather than auctions.

    Hey, now hang on, I know what you're thinking! :eek: No, I'm not into used panties, or used panty sniffing. What I mean is that I had an ex who used to sell hers online (not ebay though). She only sold them to a select few customers though.
