I have gone through my senior school life loving one girl and I am really using the term love here. We became really good friends and I was waiting for the right time to ask her out. Then like, a day before I did, someone else did. I thought ok I can wait a little longer but that was in year 8 and i'm now in 6th form and they're still together. I know I'm supposed to be happy for them but somehow I just can't as I know I could make her even happier than she is now and I just reflect back and think about what an idiot I was for missing my chance... thanks for listening.
