Zinc supplements for healing cuts

I tried doing a search for this but all I could find was about old scars. I cut my head open today in a freak accident and now have two jagged cuts down my forehead which I really don't want to scar. I don't wanna be called Harry Potter! So would taking zinc supplements or Sudocream help the healing process now while there's a scab?
