Buggered me teeth enamel

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
I think i've brushed the enamel off some of my teeth because they look kind of see-through

Could lots of calcium help to re-build the enamel or are they just buggered now?

Also, could cutting down on the ol' sweeties help as well?

enamel is hard...and it would take more than just brushing to make it come off...

I'm not sure - I'd advise taking a trip to the dentist

go to the dentist and see what he says, could be that youve not damaged them at all, the dentist will know best

and you might even score a sticker while youre there

If your teeth are see-through then it does mean that you've took some enamel off your teeth. I did it as a child through too much fizzy pop but I kicked it in before it turned into a problem.

No amount of calcium can 'repair' the problem, as enamel doesn't regenerate.

Think such as fizzy pop and excessive sweets have corrosive effects on your teeth, brushing after meals works a treat.

apparently you're supposed to leave halfanhour after eating before you brush your teeth.

Yeah, otherwise the food stuck to them can "scratch" them or something -it's how I've always understood it. Unless it's to do with the acid...
