do exucse this as im drunk but i feel the urge to tell you
tonight i went to my mums work xmas party
and as 1am came my lift arrived and i went to find my mummy:D
well she was in the toilet with a woman that had passed out, and as my mum and the people with her had very basic knowledge all they did was sit her up:| (not useful) and i put together everything and my nurse training and shit and i got the bouncers moved her out the toilets into a ventilated space, checked her eyes her pulse her breathing her airways ect
checked for caridac arrest allergies drunkness and stuff and narrowed everything down
i made someone ring an ambulance and controlled the situation kept everyone calm, tried to get her to respond ect helped her whilst on the mobile to the paramedics (the hotel was in the middle of know where so it took them ages) i got everyone away from her a very nice man helped me supporting her head ect, i hung up from the paramedics and i monitered her pulse kept her alert got her round from a blackout and kept her airways clear she started to come round so i kept her calm ect ect and when the medic turned up i told hime exactly what had gone on all night and had gathered all the info i knew they would need to save time ect and the first medic came alone so i helped him and everything and then the other medics came and took over and when they got her in the ambulance her sister came to me and thanked me and then the paramedic(this bit cheered me up) came to me and asked my name and i told him and his exact words were 'well michelle you saved her life, well done'
and there you go im sad that shes ill and that stuff but im happy that i did everything i possibly could and what the medic said made my year.
