I was just wondering whether it was a legal requirement for a dentist to wear gloves when treating you, as i saw one today for some emergency work and he didn't wear gloves which i thought was slightly disgusting to say the least! Thanks.:eek:

    They wear gloves for their benefit not yours.

    If his hands were clean what does it matter?

    It is more hygenic if they wear gloves.

    I think because of AIDs most prefer to wear gloves now, but I'm not sure if it is a legal requirement or not.
