I am new here and i was wondering will i be the only one alone this Xmas,
The reason I am alone is because i'm a 16year old who lives in his own flat, I was fostered at a young age and moved around till I ended up in colchester essex, I am not single but I will only get to see my gf on boxing day, Some people think that being with there family at Xmas is bad and they hate it, just think/remember you have family, some of us are alone. This will prob be my worse xmas ever as money is tight and im alone but im glad im independant,
anyway is anyone else alone this Xmas, if so why?

Yeah but some peoples families are a nightmare to be around or cause them actual misery, rather than the usual stuff people whinge about.
Just cause people have a family doesn't make it any better.
And nah, I have friends to prance about with and family to see and guys with mistletoe to beat away and loads of money. And Christmas pressies are already bought.

Whaat? They prance up to me with mistletoe and I can't get off with them so have to shoo them away.
This christmas (and prolly every other christmas until I have my own kids) I wont be spending it with my nan, grandad, auntie or uncle or my cousins. I dont see my fathers side of the family anyway so I wont be seeing them. It'll just be me and my mom.
So, yeh. It annoys me like a bitch when people say things like 'you've got to see family you dont want to see' and things like that and its prolly one of the most ungreatful things you'll ever hear. Preach over.
my dad fucked of to berlin over xmas (selfish git) but im down here so it wont affect me, if i had been up north i would hav been really low and probably have spent the day in a alcohol induced coma

i ended up working in a shelter for the homeless that xmas ...dishing out grub ...mopping floors ...chatting ...dishing out second hand clothes.
do some voluntary work ...by cheering up someone else you'll cheer yourself up. gives you new perspectives.

citezens advice or even the old bill may be able to point you in the right direction. you'll get more out of it than the people your helping ...promise.
it's the classic case of it being better to give than recieve ...it realy works. you'll have a great time and feel a sense of achievement and goodness.
