i'd guess it's a virus. my advice would be to delete it. but, i might be wrong...

that's an online virus scan - it's pretty slow though so you might want to leave it on overnight or sometime when you're not going to be on the computer.

If you want free av software best is probably from www.grisoft.com :)

    As for blaargh.exe it's a virus.

it may be a client virus thing - this allows 'hackers' to connect to your computer and play around with it. Some clients allow you to send weird messages to the computer you're connecting with.

Or it could just be built into the virus. Either way, the 1 definition of a virus is that it's self replicating. It's probably best you do a virus scan to check that's not the only one.

Kazza? The best virus spreading software around. :D

Like I said try the grisoft AV software as well. And look into getting some kind of personal firewall also. Not sure what the best one is but I'm sure when this gets moved to Computers and Net :p someone will post some kind links.

    Good luck.

Kazaa is just plain evil. Anyone who uses it, download a programme called 'Adaware' and run it to see just how much spyware and adware they've installed on your computer.

To be fair, you do 'agree' to let them do that when you install Kazaa - but no one read the licence agreements on these things anymore.

I read the license agreement on k-lite. It told me by installing it I was breaking the law :D

Yeah Kazaalite is 'illegal' cos it's Kazaa with all the spyware removed so you break the original Kazaa licence agreement. But never mind, at least you haven't got hundreds of shitty files on your computer.

Well it doesn't stop you downloading viruses yourself! It just doesn't install any spyware with it, which the original Kazaa does. The bastards.

You should have some virus software really. I use a free anti-virus called Grisoft AV 6 (free). It's propbaly the best free AV you can get. Works a treat.

The spyware is a real problem with KaZaA though.

All p2p and ftp transfers bring with them the risk that youve downloaded something nasty, so the best thing to do is have AVG or NAV installed on your [puter in order to get rid of nastuies easily.

As for the spyware, if you dont like it then uninstall kazaa, get adaware from Grisoft and delete the remnants.

I reckon best course of action is never to run an exe you got off kazaa that is less than 100kb.

    Yep.

Though whenever I say KaZaA, most people know I'm talking about KaZaA Lite.

Dunno why people even bother with the official KaZaA :/

    me neither.

and btw - big .exe files can have virus' that are only 100kb or so implanted into them kinda  so it's always best to check your files with a virus checker. i use system restore :)
