Men and Poetry?

Are poems for men? Or are they only for women? Or are they for both 'if thats what they enjoy doing'? Or are they for men and women but they make you less of a man. Cus I was just wondering how much I admire it when people make kickass poems, but when ones [such as the ones I cant find to give you an example] suck it makes me irritable. Jah im bored.

Poems, reading any kind of literature is for anyone who happens to like it. But if you like dead soppy love stories ffs dont tell ya mates cos they will rip the shit out of ya

Everyday I surf the internet
And browse around thesite
Each time one can bet
That insults will fly with no respite

First there is 'anything goes'
There will always be a post by Mr. Roll
What else he does with his time who knows
Because his post count almost beats us all

The threads in there are very mad,
Half of them have no point,
But who cares - what's so bad?
Its better than smoking a joint.

The next forum is entitled 'sex'
In here you will rarely see me go,
The people in here must have a complex,
What it is I really don't wanna know!

I sometimes visit the relationship posts
But being here usually makes me sad
For I have no lovely female hosts
Therefore no relationship probs to be had.

The only other I go to is the 'students' board
Here is very relevant to us all
Discussing about fees we can ill afford
But do I care? No, not at all.

ok i know i've posted it before but ...it's the only one i can remember from my solitary confinement days.

well drugs i've had
and drugs i've got.
some say there good,
some say there not.
they've made me horny
and made me droop ...
have sex on my own
... and sex in a group ...yahoo!

now sister morphine makes me slow
while amphetamine makes me quick
cousin cocaines like pure white snow
and of heroin i am sick.

l.s.d is happy madness
while hashish expands the mind.
i'm told that alcohols like w. w.w.w. wanking ...
it slowly sends you blind.

now wether drugs are good or bad
i cannot realy say.
i just know i like 'em all that much ...
i take 'em every day!

My Mum, who was in Istanbul last week wrote this...




The fulness of life is made clear to us
here in the hour of death.
Blood scattered over the dust and rubble
Bodies. Bloodied. Dismembered.
Faces. Screaming with pain and fear
that will ever be silent.
We cannot face such death
We hide our faces from it
as if we could shut out the pain.
But no. We see it still without eyes
it invades our souls.
Terror is all around us.
Fear is a solid wall.
It is not death alone but the manner of it.
Every mans death is our death.
We are torn apart by violence
as these bodies are.
Dismembered. Scattered.
Never to be whole again.
Here in the hour of our death
God alone is our help and strength

Poems are for anyone. i read and write alot of poetry and i think if people rip or caine people for what they read and like is wrong. i have alot of poetry on pc and paper but i dont see the point in it being just for girls.

its for everyone:) although people do get ripped for it

tbh. I find it hard to give praise to any poetry which isnt famous or of good enough quality so that it should be.
