im looking for some new music to listen too that similar to linkin park or maybe more stuff by muse and was just wondering what you guys and gals can reccomend thats very similar in style to the two?

You *might* like a band called Pain of Salvation, but they might be a little proggy for your tastes. Lostprophets are quite a Linkin-Parky sound, I'd even say they're better. If you're not a Led Zeppelin fan, you should be. Go check them out. Killing Heidi's a little known Aussie band, might be worth a look. Incubus, if you haven't checked them out much.

I'd question why you want stuff that sounds like Lnkin Park, but each to his own. Lostprophets, as Turtle said, are pretty much nu-metal but better than LP.
As far as bands similar to Muse are concerned, have you heard much Smashing Pumpkns? Only a passing resemblance, but they are one of the best bands ever IMO. Try Siamese Dream or Mellon Collie...
There's also The Mars Volta who don't sound like Muse but are also epic - much more so. They rock like bitches as well when they want to. Chck them out.
