I'm sure a fart sounds the same if it was farted by an American as an Austro-Swiss-Person-in-Nottingham.

Used to have quite a soft posh sort of Nottingham accent, now i seem to be getting lazy and drifting towards just a nottingham accent. When i can actually be bothered i suppose i just sound like a posh Midlander.

I'm losing my accent (sob) as a result of being surrounded by posh and well-educated people, but there are still touches of South Wales in words like 'burn', and if i concentrate/have just been speaking Welsh to someone it all comes flooding back

Grr, bloody thing just lost my whole reply.

You. Just. Do. You sound like an american because you've spent time talking english to europeans with american accents as that's the type of accent they'd have picked up from watching tv/films.

I know what you sound like, m'dear!

Mine is weird...was born near Birmingham but never really lived there but my mum had a strong brummie accent when I was really little. We lived in Ireland and then Wales.

When I worked in london people would comment that my voice went up at teh end of a sentence, but most people think I have a 'london' accent...ie none at all!

Yeah, exactly. No one knows what my accent is. Some say there's still a hint of Australian, but I think that's bollocks. I've been called a Northerner once, but that's bollocks too. I've been called posh, but I'd even argue with that. I speak proper like, but not posh.

Someone who's met me? What do I sound like?

Lol, you probably sound a bit like me!!

    You sound like a Turtle.
Not at all how I expected you to sound, but your voice *is* super relaxing.

Anyone on here would probably say that I sound really Canadian. When I talk to other Canadians, though, they say that the accent I picked up when I lived in Sussex is still pretty strong. So I guess it's somewhere between the two.

I'm sorry but that sounds like a massive turn-on! :naughty: I have a thing about girls with NE accents. ;)

I've got a general middle-class County Antrim accent. It's pretty boring I suppose for other NI people, but I like it, especially when I'm in England. :D

Very RP (Received Pronunciation), so I guess I sound well posh to some people. I have a slight lisp, too, which is really annoying.
