Nose.....

After a whole load of abuse at weekend snorting cocaine, my nose has been bleeding constantly. Never had this before, have snorted much more than what i did before. Anyone know what i can do? Not hurting or owt, just really annoying, it's like having a runny nose, but when i blow or wipe it it red! :mad:

Its probably not very serious, however it depends. Was there any material with it, you know tishue type lumps etc? Plus how dark was the blood, if it was light red then its not so much to worry about, as with all wounds the darker it is the deeper inside it has come from.

Obviously though its really not a good side effect and means you should probably stop doing it, at least for a while.

ive been doing it for a few years and ive only had a nose bleed once and id not snorted too much..so it may be the same for you, and Budda's right, There isnt much you can do, other than go through a couple of packs of tissues. Id leave it a while before i did it again if i were you and if you notice it happening again, or notice that its not just blood then maybe you should seriously consider taking a longer break.

There is no lumps, it just kinda like having a cold where my nose is really runny, but it's blood....not overly dark, but not light either. It's doing my head in, i've snorted loadsa shit and this hasn't happened before. If it's not spotted by the end of the week am gonna go to the Docs. It started saturday morning after a pasting on friday, then i went and done it again on sat! Probably not the most sensible thing to do. Thanks :thumb:

dark blood is old used blood ...in other words the oxygen has been used up and it's on it's way to get cleaned up ...bright red blood is life blood ...clean full of oxygen and probably in and artery as opposed to a vien.
loosing dark blood is not anywhere near as serious as loosing bright red blood.

Well i went to the docs. He reckons that due to 'severe' and 'cronic' use of it i may have damaged the structure of the inside of my nose, due to the anesthetic effects. May sense of taste and smell has been pretty bad for a while thinking about it :eek2: My noce has taken a battering over the past few years!

Yeah am gonna have to me thinks. No bad thing, the push i needed really! Gutted about my nose, god 21 and fucked up already!

don't worry to much i'm sure your far from fucked up. if you can be strong enough to stay away for a while your nose should recover quite well if not nearly completely.
have i asked before ...where abouts in mancland you from?

This is the question, since getting off other stuff, i kinda used it as a compensate, well not compensate, but as a way to get a release.

I am from Hulme (heard of it?) But i moved away from there some 10 months ago to get away from things. I now live in Castlefield in Manchester City Centre with 3 girlfriends, i adore it. Best thing i ever did!

It will be a test to stay off drugs, we are always out and about. I have cut it down to just weekends. Am sure i can do it. Positive thinking an all!!!!!

i know hulme very well ...or did, haven't been back since 1986.
shot a lot of smack in those dreadful deck access flats there ...which i heard they did up since and turned them into nice student flats? fucking hell on earth when i was around there. i used to live on great western street in those days in the moss.
spent the 70's and a lot of money in a west indian club called the new reno. long gone but never forgotten!

i think the flats were called 'the crescent'. they still there?

Bloodyhell small world. I used to live on Lloyd St North, smack bang in the middle of Hulme and Moss Side. THose flats...yeah they are still there and are now students accomodation although i wouldn't go as far as saying 'nice'. Since 86 it's undergone a major face life, well on the surface, but shit still happens around there, but the authorities choose to turn a blind eye to it. My ex-boyfriend lived just off Denmark Road in a block of flats, you know where i mean? I done all my shooting there. God memories, some good some bad. I moved just over 10 months ago to get away from it all and went to rehab, I still look back and can kinda smile about it all. Some good times and some fukkin awful times, but everything we do is a learning curve. It's very rare i go back, don't think it wise just yet to see the circle which i used to socialise with. I will one day, just not at the moment

i remember those flats with mixed emotions. at the time they were seriously the pits of prostitution at its worst, guns before the term gun crime was coined in this country. it was maggie thatchers era and there were some seriously revolutionary black groups around ...full military gear 24hrs a day. i would be shooting up in seriously infested places some times, while waiting for my man!
yes i know denmark rd. and rusholme ...the curry mile! those asian sweet shops fed me 24hrs a day. i was reasonably ok financialy most of the time and for breakfast i'd buy ten quids worth of those sweets for breakfast ...same for dinner ...same for tea! those fucking sweets kept me alive i swear.
what was that club called on dickenson road ...oh and longsight and levenshulme ...i too did rehab in kent ...and right now they would say i was suffering from euphoric recall!
did you do the twelve step stuff? if so ...just like me you took enough of it to change but didn't take it as god given wisdom.
never ever take a codien again ...never have a drink and a spliff ...that was all to much for me but ...rehab did get me on a new course ...the old course i was happy with till i met the draggon. that reminds me of a guy i knew called jimmy draggon ...
