Why do tears come when there is no reason for them?

When we become upset, our brains and bodies overreact and work overtime by producing chemicals and hormones.
Crying helps eliminate these extra chemicals that we don't need.
The chemicals and hormones disappear from our body through the form of tears. As our tears flow, they sooth our sadness or distress by withdrawing these chemical agents.
That is why many people feel calmer or more refreshed after crying--because the tears get rid of these hormones that are produced when we are sad, happy, or distressed.

I'm that way too, a lot. It seems that at times, when I don't really have a reason for crying, I cry, but when I have a reason and should be crying, then I can't.
i am same as you...i hardly sleep with out crying myself to it..
anyway i think cryings a good way of letting you emotions out...although alot of people think if you male your NOT allowed to cry as it shows weekness...
not being able to cry is awful! I mean, you feel awful inside and it's like you're being crushed because you can't get your feelings out. Sometimes I cry over things that aren't that important, but things that mean a lot I never cry. When my first girlfriend dumped me (and first love and all that) I just laughed...
