I (22) have been going out with my gf (20) a week now - (the one it took me ages to work out wether she was interested or not). Well the lack of feedback/inititive is continuing.

Despite spending the whole night in a club together and walking home arm in arm she was still unsure whether I liked her or not. I had to kiss her just to get her to stop babbling about it!

Anyway we've been together a few times this week and apart from when drunk she's often still quite distant. We'll sit in a bar and lay hands on each other etc but when it come to kissing etc its always me that initiates it (except when she was drunk when she was all over me!). She'll stand a little to far away when saying goodbye for instance so that it feels awkward to kiss goodbye.
She stayed over the other day too and we slept in our clothes on my bed (I said that I didn't want anything to happen). We kissed a lot but she just lay there giving no input, no reciprocation.

I know that this sounds gloomy and I know its only been a week, but I am sure she does like me. It makes me wonder if she's inexperienced or if there's some other reason for it.
It reminds me a little me during my last relationship, which was also my first relationship. I was excited but nervous and let my gf lead the way. She was very forward though and things happened very fast. Maybe I've just got a skewed view because of that.

What can I do?
As for talking to her about it I don't want to sound like I'm unhappy with things at this stage - because I'm not as such. With talk of previous relationships being rather taboo (especially given that my last was with one of her friends!) how can I try and establish how she feels?

Maybe she will be a bit more relaxed when you have known her a little bit longer...maybe she has been hurt before and is scared to get close to people..talk to her.

Comunication is the key to a good relationship. I wish my BF would talk more about his feelings towards me, I usually have to pester him about it, it's one of his failings but he has alot of good points to, no ones perfect. Just tell her how you feel I know its easy for me to type that but relationships are hard work, if you really really love her work on it things get better with time.
