just to let you all know im totaly clear of everything, i got my results today

    I thought stuff like HIV wouldn't show up for about 3-5 months arefter contracting it?

    It's 3 months after the possible infection date. But they can do a different test which gives you a quick result. If it's negative (I think) they ask you come back for a second test. I may be wrong.

    In US Hospitals I think if a hospital worker for instance gets stuck with a suspected HIV infected needle they start them on anti HIV drugs straight away - whilst they wait for the golden 3 or 6 month testing period - I think they said if you start ZZT or whatever it's called as soon as you think you've been infected it kills the virus totally cos the quantity is very small.

    Don't know hy that isn't standard practise co si guess when you get to 3 or 6 months with it - all the drugs are going to do is slow down the progress rather then be at a stage it could kill it off totally.
