Hi everyone! I'm Abbie

Hi everyone! =)
My name's Abbie, I've recently finished my undergraduate degree and I'm feeling somewhat lost and anxious about moving forward in the world. I'm struggling to come to terms with the fact my three years of study are over and I'm going to be able to say I have a degree. Everyone tells me I should be proud of how hard I've worked and what I've achieved, yet that is still something I'm personally trying to process. Anyone else?
Anyway, I wanted to join this community to share my experiences, and to listen to and support others! I am looking forward to communicating with other members, and hopefully make a difference to this community, one conversation at a time! After all, a problem shared is a problem halved!

Hey Abbie, welcome to the community

Congrats on finishing your degree! :star: You should be really proud of yourself for getting a degree, but I can understand that "weird" feeling of still processing everything <3 I was the same after undergrad and postgrad (and still am now whilst doing a PhD!), but in time you will be able to reflect on things and see how much you have achieved.

Finishing your degree and leaving uni is a big deal and takes some time getting used to - be kind to yourself and take onboard the praise from those around you because you've earnt it <3:star: x

“And when they look at you, they won't see everything you've been through. They won't see the **** that turned to scars that began to fade with time. They won't see the heartbreaking things that shook up and changed your entire world. They won't know how many tears you cried or even what it was you were crying about. They won't see how strong you had to be because you had no other choice. What they will see though is how compassionate you are because you experienced pain. What they will see is how kind you are because you experienced how cruel the world is. What they will see is how good you are because you've seen how bad things or people can be. The difference between you and your experiences are who you choose to be, despite everything that could have turned you cold and unkind. You are the good the world needs and the best of us.” ~ Kirsten Corley
