Author's controversial but she makes a point.
' We were like gods at the dawning of the world, our joy was so bright we could see nothing but each other'
- The song of Achilles
i honestly do just love this book but i may be a bit biased as it got me back into reading. However, the writing is so poetic and just amazing.
'They may need us now because we are valuable, might pretend to accept us, to reward us - but never forget what they did to us first. If they did it once, Deka, they'll surely do it again, no matter the flowery promises they give'
- The Guilded ones
This is my most recent read and honestly this line is part of such an impactful and amazing yet devastating scene that is just heart-breaking so while not the most cheerful definitely memorable.
