How To Stay Sane During The Coronavirus Outbreak

It is everywhere on the news. You can't escape from it. Schools are closing for most students. Cinemas are closing. Some shops and sports clubs are closing. It seems like there is nothing to do except revise and binge watch Netflix. How are you supposed to stay sane and not turn into a couch potato?
I have been thinking of a list of things to do whilst you are stuck at home (either self isolating, online school or lockdown.)
1. Walk your dog (or just go for a walk) as long as you are not on lockdown and you are not ill.
2. Watch some workout videos on YouTube and do some workouts either in your room, the living room or the garden if you are housebound.
3. Go to the gym if you can go out.
4. Revise (yes it is boring but at least you won't be too far behind when school or college or university eventually opens again)
5. Watch YouTube.
6. Watch films
7. Read a book (remember those?)
8. Video call your friends and family.
9. Check in with elderly or vulnerable family members, friends and neighbours.
10. Write a story.
11. Catch up on the much needed sleep you owe yourself as you no longer have to wake up really early for school.
12. Rest if you are ill.
13. Play board games or games online.
If anyone else has any ideas feel free to comment them down below.

Believe it or not, daytime TV does pass the time and can be informative - especially if you’re home alone and really bored and lonely like I’ve been.
That’s only if you don’t mind hearing about it though.
I hope you're all keeping well! Just another suggestion of something that you could do to help pass the time. The Scouts have just launched a section on their website called 'The Great Indoors' full of exciting challenges you can complete from your own home. Here's the link: https://www.scouts.org.uk/the-great-indoors/
Take good care folks. This will pass. 💛
I've been keeping myself occupied by getting stuck in with my online degree with the OU, playing Animal Crossing and binge-watching the Real Housewives

* Do some workouts
* Watch some live streams from zoo's or nasa
* Take a nice walk(you can still go out for one form of exercise if you are lucky enough to have a nice park or forest nearby nature is helpful)
* Get plenty of fresh air in the garden or open windows
* Enjoy some board games or card games if you have any
* I've seen a "cocktail hour" going around where you call friends and have a drink, you can replace with cuppa hour for a nice tea and chat if you prefer (skype or microsoft teams)
* Play games
*colour in
*write stories if you're creative
*binge watch your fav shows, i have friday night dinner going right now
Write down everything you think of or want to do but cannot get done right now.
And put it in the bag.
Once this has gone away you will be able to open the bag or jar and pick something at random to do (get a Costa, go beach ect)
Likewise you can also write down things you wanted to do but never had time for and do those things now
