User titles

I assume this is a glitch of some kind. My title - the optional one that you can choose when you reach 500 posts - says Postholic (the same as my default post count title). I've tried going into settings to erase that, but it's still there.

    Strange its done it to me too but mine lets me edit it away?

    Did you put the full stop in your title on purpose? If so, that's probably why ahah. I think you're still able to change your title - so if I were to replace Postholic with a full stop or another word, that would work - but for some reason I can't get rid of the title altogether because apparently my identity is nothing more significant than a Postholic ;)

    Ooh, well that's... odd! We haven't changed anything to do with post titles but something else might have slipped on our end. We'll take a look and update this thread when we have something. :)

    Replace it with just one space thing and should go:)

    Not if you put another form of text in them - for example, if I were to change my title from Postholic to just a dot like Aimee did, or I put a word in there, or if I put a space in there, that text will keep. If I try to just erase Postholic without adding anything new to the box, it goes back to Postholic. And then there's just the question as to why it says Postholic in the first place!

    So in other words, the problem seems to be that if you haven't got anything in your title box, it will say your post count title.

    Hmmm, interesting. Thanks @Past User. And it wasn't doing that before, right? Your rank just appeared in your user title field?

    So, bit of an update on this:

    Our techies had a look at this, and it seems like the issue has fixed itself(?). It looks like the duplicates have either all been changed manually or reset by the system, so either way things seem to be back to normal.

    We did a bit of testing and locations should display as intended, and those of you who can add a title (anyone over 500 posts) should be able to do that. Feel free to give it a go and let us know if something doesn't work as expected. :)
